About Me
Douglass Quinn
I have always loved things that aren’t what they seem, like acting, magic, and holograms. It might seem odd coming from someone with a science background, but it’s my escape. I received my B.S. from the University of Miami, then my D. D. S. from Emory University. My writing journey began in high school but eventually veered into the realm of dental research papers. I have several credits in scientific journals relating to dental materials that are no longer in use; very boring and not funny!
Retirement has allowed me to return to creative writing and purge these crazy stories swirling around in my head. Now, I live with my wife, Glenda, in Saint Petersburg, Florida, where I marvel at holographic snowmen and projected snowflakes decorating homes at Christmas.

Book Synopsis
Marilyn Fischer is a force of nature you’d be wise not to oppose. This CIA agent and her professional basketball player husband, Greg Kerney, discover a nationwide cheating scandal within the innovative realm of Holographic Sports Bars. The technology of the Hologram had advanced to a point where entire basketball games could be digitally scanned and transmitted to distant locations. These projections, when displayed on an empty court, gave the illusion to the second-hand viewer they were actually at the game.
In mini arenas across America Average Joe could experience the thrill of courtside seats only the wealthy could afford. The entrance of the gambling cartel occurred when a loophole was identified; the transmission of digital images provided an avenue for manipulating data and altering game outcomes. Using Marilyn’s Agency expertise and Greg’s basketball prowess, the couple embarks on a mission to unravel the fraud and restore honesty to the game.
Remember, it’s not what it looks like.
